Yes. We use ballasted frames from Van Der Valk or Clenergy that angle the panels without penetrating the roof covering. We confirm the roof structure can carry the ballast and check for any building regulations implications at survey.

Do I need planning permission for solar panels?

On most houses in England, roof-mounted solar is permitted development and no application is needed, provided the panels do not project more than 200mm from the roof slope and the property is not a listed building. Flats, listed buildings and some conservation-area situations are different. We check your property's status as part of the survey and tell you before you commit.

Will you handle the paperwork with the electricity network?

Yes. We submit the G98 notification or G99 application to UK Power Networks, provide the commissioning certificates you need for a Smart Export Guarantee tariff, and register the installation on the relevant databases.
